Famous artists Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan are slated to appear on "Saturday Night Live" during its landmark Season 50.
Popular celebs like Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Charlotte Roan have been confirmed for hosting or performing as musical guests on "SNL" during this upcoming season.
The season opener on September 28 will be hosted by Academy Award-winning actress Jean Smart, with Jelly Roll serving as the musical guest; the October 5 episode will feature Nate Bargatze as the host, accompanied by Coldplay as the musical act; October 12 will see Grande as the host, with Stevie Nicks as the musical guest; October 19 will witness Michael Keaton in the hosting role, with Eilish performing; and on November 2, John Mulaney will return as host, with breakout star Roan set to entertain the audience.
This upcoming season of "SNL" will also mark the comeback of guest player and former "SNL" cast member Maya Rudolph, reprising her role as Vice President – and Democratic presidential candidate – Kamala Harris. According to CNN, Rudolph is set to portray Harris through at least the end of the election cycle.
As per tradition, "SNL" will tackle election season with humorous political spoofs – however, there's currently no word on who will portray Republican nominee Donald Trump, his running mate JD Vance, or Harris' VP pick Tim Walz. Recent episodes have seen current cast member James Austin Johnson delivering an impressive portrayal of Trump.
"SNL" made its debut on NBC in 1975. To celebrate the show's 50th anniversary, a live primetime special is scheduled for next year on February 16. Additionally, a movie titled "Saturday Night" about the first-ever episode is set for nationwide theatrical release next month.
The variety of entertainers lined up for "SNL" this season is quite diverse, with breakout star Roan set to entertain the audience in November. During their stay, renowned bands like Coldplay and Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks will also provide musical entertainment.
