Angelina Jolie - Ex-Brad Pitt should end the dispute over the vineyard

Angelina Jolie (49) is reportedly no longer interested in continuing the "Roseland War" with her ex-husband Brad Pitt (60) over their shared business, the winery Château Miraval, which they both owned equally until 2021. Paul Murphy, Jolie's attorney, stated to "Page Six" that Pitt has had full control over all their shared properties and their revenues for some time. "But he is still demanding more and has sued Angelina for $67 million dollars plus punitive damages," Murphy explained.

Jolie longs for "Healing"

Pitt's goal with the lawsuit, according to the lawyer, is allegedly to "punish and control Angelina." In contrast, she reportedly longs for peace and is only forced to act: "While Angelina continues to ask Mr. Pitt to end the dispute and bring their family finally on a clear path to healing, she has no other choice but to gather the necessary evidence to refute his allegations."

The dispute over the winery has been ongoing for several years. In 2021, it was reported that Jolie had allegedly sold her shares in her winery in Provence, France, to a Russian billionaire without Pitt's consent, leading to a lawsuit. According to US media, the sale was made in violation of the agreement that allowed Pitt to buy her shares.

From Jolie's perspective, the story appears differently, according to reports: Brad Pitt reportedly rejected her shares, following her refusal to sign a comprehensive nondisclosure agreement. She, in turn, demanded $250 million in compensation, rumors suggest.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were a couple since 2005, married in 2014 on their winery. Two years later, Jolie filed for divorce. Since then, an bitter feud has ensued, during which Pitt is reportedly no longer in contact with their six shared children.

Despite the ongoing strife between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Jolie hopes for healing in their relationship regarding their shared Winery, Château Miraval. Regardless, she feels compelled to gather evidence to refute Pitt's accusations, as he continues his legal battle, allegedly aiming to punish and control her, following their split in 2016 and his alleged rejection of her shares in the Miraval Castle vineyard.
