Everything's Wrong 2" outperforms the cinema hit "Barbie": The animation film from successful studio Pixar about the character Riley has broken the billion-dollar mark. Nineteen days after the mid-June cinema release, "Everything's Wrong 2" has already grossed over a billion dollars worldwide, according to Disney's announcement. This is a record time for an animation film, it was further stated. "Everything's Wrong 2" is therefore also the first film in the current year to have exceeded the billion-dollar mark at the worldwide box office.
Recently, "Barbie" achieved this. Greta Gerwig's vibrant satire about the iconic doll Barbie (Margot Robbie) and friend Ken (Ryan Gosling) was the biggest box office hit of 2023. It grossed around 1.45 billion dollars worldwide.
Nine years after the success of the animation film "Everything's Wrong" about the adventures and emotions in the brain of the eleven-year-old girl Riley, Pixar continues the story about the now thirteen-year-old teenager. In addition to the already known embodiments of Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust, new feelings such as Doubt, Envy, Boredom or Indifference join in. The first part about the living emotions won the Oscar for the best animated feature film. "Everything's Wrong" has grossed around 858 million dollars since its cinema release in 2015.
