Amidst the bustling industrial landscape of Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, the Pop and Art Festival MS Dockville is occurring. Approximately 55,000 attendees are predicted to attend by Sunday's end. Austrian pop band Bilderbuch captivated the masses as Friday's headliners, with frontman Maurice Ernst exclaiming, "Let's just celebrate life together today."
The lively British band The Vaccines kicked the crowd into gear with their retro Sixties rock. American singer Ashnikko, based in London, put on a visually captivating performance with her avant-garde electropop, making MS Dockville her sole Germany appearance for the year.
In addition to music, MS Dockville provides a platform for art as well. Ten new urban art installations have been erected specifically for the festival, alongside numerous workshops.
DJs will keep the dance floors lively throughout the night, with performers such as techno brass band Meute, singer-songwriter Zoe Wees, punk band Goat Girl, and rapper Disarstar scheduled until Sunday's conclusion.
