Eminem is on the brink of becoming a grandfather.
The hip-hop artist publicly declared that his daughter, Hailie Jade, aged 28, is set to become a mother for the first time, unveiling this news in a music video for his track "Temporary," featuring Skylar Grey, on a Thursday.
At a certain point in the video, Jade – a musician and podcast host – presents her father with a blue shirt bearing the phrase "Grandpa" at the back.
Taken aback, Eminem then displays a sonogram image, prompting Jade to grin and chuckle at the sight of her father's reaction.
The video comprises a collection of home videos from Jade's childhood with Eminem, mixed with footage of her recent wedding to her husband, Evan McClintock.
Eminem pays tribute to Jade in the song, rapping verses that reflect on the cycle of life, such as, "So Hailie Jade, I penned this song to aid you in coping when I'm gone."
Following the video's release, Jade uploaded a sequence of photos on her Instagram highlighting her and McClintock's reactions to the sonogram, captioning them with the information that their baby is due the following year.
Jade and McClintock have been in a relationship since 2016. They announced their engagement in February 2023 and exchanged vows in May.
On her Instagram following their wedding, Jade penned, "Becoming a wife this week...We couldn't have asked for a more perfect, enchanting weekend celebration. Tears of joy were shed, laughter echoed, and love overflowed."
This will be the first child for Jade and McClintock.
