Elyas M'Barek, is that you?

Since Elyas M'Barek has been living in New York with his wife, you rarely see him anymore. But for the film premiere of "Raus aus dem Teich" he is coming to Berlin again. There, the "Fack ju Göhte" star promptly shows fans where the frog's curls are. Or more precisely: the duck.

Elyas M'Barek has lived in New York with his wife Jessica since 2022. The actor is rarely seen on the red carpet in Germany. He has now returned to Berlin for the premiere of the animated comedy "Raus aus dem Teich". The 41-year-old lends his voice to a duck in the film.

M'Barek was joined on the red carpet by Jorge González, Nazan Eckes, Julius Weckauf and Nina Chuba (from left to right).

When the 41-year-old posed with a large duck figure and colleagues such as Nazan Eckes and Jorge González in a flurry of flashbulbs at Berlin's Zoo Palast at the weekend, one thing in particular stood out: The actor has a new look.

M'Barek now wears his hair much longer than usual. His dark curls really come into their own. He also has more hair on his face in the form of a three-day beard. M'Barek chose a simple outfit for his new look: a dark suit and a dark turtleneck sweater.

M'Barek likes to be "invisible"

The "Fack ju Göhte" star has already enjoyed playing with his look in the past. In 2017, for example, he appeared in "Bullyparade - The Movie" with very long hair. In 2018, he then shocked his fans with an extremely short haircut. Back then, many fans mourned his beautiful curls. They should now be more than happy with his current curly locks.

Elyas M'Barek plays duck dad Mack Mallard in the German version of the US animated film "Migration" by Benjamin Renner. In the film, a mallard duck family of four ventures on a flight from the USA to Jamaica for the first time. "Out of the Pond" will be released in German cinemas on December 21.

M'Barek is very familiar with the USA. Shortly after his wedding, he and his wife moved into an apartment in the New York borough of Brooklyn. There, he particularly enjoys being unknown. "I like it when I'm invisible," he confessed in June in the magazine "Men's Health". He thinks it's "totally okay" not to get any attention in his private life. "It's the most beautiful thing for me when I'm sitting on a park bench or riding the subway in New York and people don't pay any attention to me. It's the greatest thing!"

Married since September 2022

The fame he has in Germany is an advantage professionally, but he doesn't need it to be happy, says M'Barek. So it's quite possible that he will quickly travel back to New York after the film premiere.

The actor has been married to model Jessica Riso since September 2022. The US-American then took his surname. She grew up in California but has lived in New York for more than two decades. "I'm so happy that we're finally living together on the East Coast," she told Gala in the spring.

Elyas M'Barek's return to Berlin for the premiere of "Raus aus dem Teich" is a rare occasion for his German fans, as he usually resides in New York for entertainment purposes. The "Fack ju Göhte" star's role in the animated comedy involves lending his voice to a character, showcasing his versatility in the entertainment industry.

Amidst the red carpet events, Elyas M'Barek's new look, characterized by longer hair and a three-day beard, was the talk of the town. This is not the first time M'Barek has experimented with his appearance in the world of entertainment, having sported long hair in "Bullyparade - The Movie" and a short haircut in 2018.
