Tech billionaire Elon Musk apparently still hasn't found common ground with pop star Elton John. This became evident when John made a scathing comment about Musk during an awards ceremony in London. Upon receiving the "Attitude" magazine's trophy shaped like the letter "A", John joked, "What does 'A' stand for?" Then, he answered his own question, saying, "I think of 'asshole'. But let's not focus on Elon Musk tonight, let's have a good time."
John's reason for aiming his frustration at Musk remains a mystery. After Musk took over Twitter, John stopped using the platform due to concerns about misinformation. Musk later expressed his admiration for John's music, saying, "I love your music. I hope you come back." However, he has yet to respond to John's recent jab.
Honored to be a Gay Man
During his acceptance speech, John expressed his gratitude for receiving the "Attitude" magazine award as a "gay man". He mentioned that his career has been a long journey and he's proud to still identify as a gay man. He shared his love for his husband and children, and despite no longer performing live, he still regards himself as "married to the work". Music helped him overcome a tough time in his life, and he finds strength in his "Elton John AIDS Foundation", which has been supporting HIV-positive individuals since 1992. Helping others brings him "so much joy and pleasure", he said, and along with his husband David Furnish, they've raised approximately €550 million for their foundation.
After his short appearance on stage, John took a seat to rest, posing for photos with his trophy.
