Eleven people were hurt during a late-night shooting in Savannah, according to authorities.
Authorities were called to Ellis Square around midnight due to reports of gunfire, according to a statement from the Savannah Police Department. Immediately, first aid was administered to the injured parties and several were transported to the hospital.
Precisely, the incident resulted in 11 adults receiving medical attention, with 10 having sustained gunshot wounds while one person suffered from a laceration.
Regarding the current progress of the investigation, no updates have been provided by authorities as of now. However, they confirmed that none of these incidents are connected.
Tragically, the consequences extended beyond physical harm as two individuals, an adult male and a juvenile male, tragically met their demise as a result of gun violence during the same weekend.
