Television - Edin Hasanovic shaped his new role in 'Tatort'
Television stars Melika Foroutan and Edin Hasanovic have deliberately chosen to become the new Frankfurt "Tatort" duo, with their personal immigration history playing a role in the script. "I have a say in it," Hasanovic said in an interview with "Münchner Merkur" and "tz" (Friday). "I have been fighting for years for someone with my last name in this country to be able to play a German without a migration background. Since we both emancipated ourselves, Melika and I have decided that she will be a commissioner with Iranian roots and I will be a commissioner with Bosnian roots. This way we can tell even more exciting stories."
Cold Cases at the center of the next crimes
Foroutan and Hasanovic will be investigating together in the popular Sunday crime series starting in 2025. The focus will be on Cold Cases, or unsolved cases. The character names have not been announced yet. Hasanovic is not worried about being reduced to the "Tatort" role later in his career: "I could imagine that if you start with 'Tatort' and do it for ten years, you might have difficulties getting other roles. But with 20 years of professional experience, like I have, that shouldn't happen."
Hasanovic is seen in the Netflix film "Spieleabend" since Friday. In the comedy, a casual get-together in a villa turns into a huge emotional chaos. Hasanovic himself has not experienced a game night turning into a disaster. "I attend game nights very often, because I organize them myself. I'm a game nerd, I've probably played at least once a week in the last half year. But the only stress is getting people to join in."
Hasanovic can lose well at games
He can lose well at games like "Trivial Pursuit," "Phase 10," "The Mind," or "Activity," according to Hasanovic himself. "But I had to learn not to take gaming so seriously. It was important to me that everyone strictly follows the rules. I used to have a hard time just letting things be."
