During a climbing training session, a woman lost her footing and suffered a fatal fall.

A 55-year-old woman from Bonn faces her untimely demise after a climbing accident. Her mishap takes place up in the Alps near Oberammergau. This unfortunate incident took place during a climbing course that her group was participating in. Reports say the woman took a fall, and her injury was rather critical.

Mountain guides and a doctor, who were flown in by rescue chopper, tried desperately to resuscitate the woman at the scene. However, their efforts were fruitless, and she eventually succumbed to her injuries on the rocky ledge.

The woman from Bonn was part of a group who had these climbing courses in sight, according to the Rosenheim police. She was climbing in the lead when this horrible accident happened. Right now, the police mountain guides from the Alpine Task Force are digging deep into the matter. They're doing so under the watchful eyes of the public prosecutor's office.
