Due to her ongoing divorce proceedings, Angelina Jolie is required to remain in Los Angeles.
Angelina Jolie seems to be yearning for a change from LA's hustle and bustle. In a chat with "The Hollywood Reporter", the actress lets slip that her divorce with Brad Pitt is the only thing keeping her in the city. With her youngest kids, 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, approaching adulthood, leaving LA might become an option in a couple of years.
LA has been her home for a long time, but as a 49-year-old, Angelina feels the city's energy is wearing her down. She says, "I'm here because of the divorce, but once the kids turn 18, I'll be able to leave." With Shiloh (18), Zahara (19), Pax (20), and Maddox (23), all grown up, it seems she's eager for her family to enjoy some private, peaceful life without the city's bustle.
"It's tough raising a big family here. I've got a place now where I can bring up my kids, but sometimes LA...", she ponders, trailing off. The city's vibe, she feels, doesn't match the human warmth she's experienced while traveling. Hence, her plan is to spend a significant amount of time in Cambodia and visit her family spread across the globe.
Angelina and Brad tied the knot in 2014, but they've been apart for quite a while now. She filed for divorce in 2016, but since then, their custody battle has been making headlines, even in Hollywood's gossip circles. The judge officially declared them legally single in 2019, but divorce settlement talks continue to stir up controversy. In the recent interview, Angelina chooses to keep coy on her divorce's status, simply stating "No comments."
The entertainment industry in LA has been less appealing to Angelina with time, and she finds solace in the idea of enjoying ['The entertainment'] in a different setting once her children are grown. Despite LA being her home for many years, Angelina expresses a desire to escape the city's bustle and return to the human warmth she experienced during her travels.
