Drew Carey Insists on Continuing with 'The Price Is Right'
"I have no plans of leaving 'The Price is Right,'" he shared with "Entertainment Tonight." He's held the role since replacing Bob Barker in 2007.
"I believe Bob made an error in choosing to retire. I won't make the same blunder. As long as my heart still beats and they want me on the show, I'll remain on 'The Price is Right.' I adore it. I feel like it was tailor-made for me," Carey said.
He expressed admiration for Barker, who passed away in 2023 due to Alzheimer's disease.
"He was superb at this job," Carey shared. "He had an uncanny ability to connect with people, making them feel at ease and confident. His demeanor and attitude always signified calmness."
He was also questioned about offering any advice to Ryan Seacrest, the new host of "Wheel of Fortune."
"Do I have any tips for multi-millionaire Ryan Seacrest, who seemingly hosts everything? No way," he responded. "Dude, you've got it covered. You know how to handle hosting. Don't stress about it. You'll do just fine."
