Don Omar announces his cancer diagnosis in public.

Singer Don Omar shared a picture on Instagram on Monday, showcasing a hospital bracelet labeled "Orlando Health" on his wrist.

His caption read, "I've got it today, but cancer won't be my tomorrow. See you soon."

Details about his diagnosis were kept under wraps by the 46-year-old artist, who goes by the name William Omar Landrón Rivera.

CNN reached out to his representatives for a comment regarding his health status.

Despite the diagnosis, Don Omar is still slated to perform at Oakland, California, on August 7, kicking off his "Back to Reggaeton" tour in the US.

Since rising to fame in the early 2000s, Don Omar has been a dominating force in the reggaeton genre.

He has eight studio albums under his belt, two Latin Grammy awards from 13 nominations, and appearances in several "Fast and Furious" films.

̶Don Omar̶ and Daddy Yankee had a decades-long rivalry in the reggaeton industry, but they put an end to it in December last year, as evidenced by Don Omar's post on Instagram which read, "Thank you for your words and for understanding the messages that came straight from my heart."
