- Domestic violence charges have been dismissed.
The charges against "Kill Bill" actor Michael Madsen (66) for suspected domestic violence have been dropped due to a lack of substantial proof. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office verified this information with "TMZ".
The actor's representative shared their satisfaction that Michael can now leave this predicament behind and anticipates working further with the veteran and esteemed thespian.
He reportedly shoved his spouse
On August 19, it was reported by "Variety" US magazine that Madsen was apprehended and detained by the Malibu police. The allegations against him included pushing his wife DeAnna Madsen (64). A spokesperson mentioned that this was a dispute between Michael and his wife, expressing hope for an amicable resolution for both parties. After posting a $20,000 bond, Madsen was released from custody.
Previous run-ins with law enforcement
This wasn't Madsen's first encounter with the authorities. Back in February 2022, he was arrested on suspicion of encroaching upon private property within his Malibu residence. Officers led him out in handcuffs for the trespassing violation.
In 2019, Michael Madsen was jailed for four days after involvement in a drunk driving accident. He was then given a five-year probation sentence. Prior to that, he was arrested for driving under the influence in 2012, and he completed a 30-day rehab program as a result.
Madsen and DeAnna Madsen have been married since 1996, his third union. They have three sons, with their eldest son tragically passing away in January 2022 at the age of 26.
Despite the dropped charges, the incident with his spouse has left a mark on Michael Madsen's public image, as the 'Other' allegations continue to circulate.
Prompting a review of his past, it becomes apparent that 'Other' legal issues have also bedeviled the actor, including encroachment on private property and multiple DUI arrests.
