Amira Pocher - Does Oliver Pocher benefit from her?

Yesterday, Amira Pocher (31) stated in her podcast that she had cooked inside herself. However, even in the recording of the new episode of "Liebes Leben" (exclusively on Podimo), she is still dealing with the demand from her ex-husband Oliver Pocher (46) for her to adopt her maiden name Aly again. He stated that he was "fundamentally for her changing her name back to her original name" in his own podcast with ex-wife Alessandra "Sandy" Meyer-Wölden (41).

Since Oliver Pocher's statement, Amira has been bombarded with news from her "followers." However, she is not even divorced yet and wants to take it slow.

"We are quite honest, the last name is interesting for everyone because it is of course also a brand," Oliver Pocher stated in his podcast. He mentions Barbara Becker (57) and Natascha Ochsenknecht (59) in this context, who held on to their famous partners' names after their divorces.

Is Oliver Pocher trying to demonstrate his power over Amira?

Amira Pocher accuses him of deliberately bringing up the topic of the name change to put pressure on her. If she gives in and accepts her birth name again, he can claim: "See, when I say something, that's how it is." In this way, he wants to show her: "I have power."

Regardless of how she decides, she can't please everyone in the public, Amira Pocher complains in the podcast. She is labeled as a "golddigger" who only cared about the money and fame of her famous (ex-)partner.

"Who benefits from Olli now?"

Amira Pocher considers herself the last one to deny that she has benefited from the fame of her ex-husband. However, she can now stand on her own. Others ex-wives of Oliver Pocher could not make the same claim. "Who benefits from Olli now?" she asks rhetorically. "Who? Me? I'm doing my thing. Who benefits from him? Nobody's saying anything about that."

It should be clear who she means: Sandy Meyer-Wölden. She has been Amira's successor in the podcast "Die Pochers" since their separation. The podcast continues to run with the subtitle "freshly recycled," even though Sandy does not call herself Pocher.

Has Oliver Pocher's career been boosted by his marriage to Amira?

Amira Pocher now claims that Oliver Pocher has also professionally benefited from their marriage. After all, they have not only run a podcast together but have also appeared together on television or on stage. "When I met Olli, he was touring through clubs in Germany and it wasn't 1000-person halls, there were 200, 300 people, and I was the one behind the screen steering the projector and helping him on his tour," she calculates.

Oliver Pocher became sympathetic through her, many people have told her. And his current tour, in which the comedian deals with the separation, is the most successful of his career. Amira's verdict on the Pocher or Aly case: "I don't need this name. I'll make it in life somehow."

  1. In response to Oliver Pocher's demand, Natascha Ochsenknecht and Barbara Becker, two women who kept their ex-husbands' names after divorce, were mentioned by him as examples.
  2. Amira Pocher is hesitant about changing her name back to Aly, fearing that it could be used as a tool for Oliver Pocher to assert his power over her.
  3. According to Amira Pocher, other ex-wives of Oliver Pocher have not been able to establish themselves independently, while she now feels she can stand on her own.
  4. Sandra Meyer-Wölden, the successor of Amira in the podcast "Die Pochers" after their separation, has continued the podcast with the subtitle "freshly recycled," despite not using Pocher as her last name.
  5. Oliver Pocher's career seems to have been boosted by his marriage to Amira, as they co-hosted a podcast and appeared together in various media outlets.
  6. Despite any perceived benefits, Amira Pocher concludes that she does not need her birth name to succeed in life.
