First the good news: DJ Jerome's life is no longer in danger. This was announced by his wife Anni and his management on the 41-year-old's Instagram page. The bad news, however, is that the producer was involved in a serious traffic accident in which he sustained severe injuries through no fault of his own.

The "Bild" newspaper first reported on the accident. According to the report, DJ Jerome, whose real name is Marcel-Jerome Gialelés, was standing by the trunk of his own car when another car hit him. The person responsible for the accident is said to have been a 22-year-old under the influence of alcohol.

DJ Jerome was trapped between his car and a tree as a result of the collision, writes the Bild newspaper. Only the arriving fire department were able to free him from this situation.

New single despite accident

"Unfortunately, Jerome had a serious traffic accident through no fault of his own. He is currently in hospital and is receiving the best possible care, fortunately there is no longer any danger to his life. He will therefore unfortunately not be able to perform live for an indefinite period of time," reads the message on the musician's Instagram page. Nevertheless, his new single "I'll Be There" will be released as planned on December 8. "We have high hopes that Jerome will be able to get back to you in person before then."

DJ Jerome made a guest appearance on the casting show "X Factor", which was broadcast on Vox, in 2012. Here he supported Scooter frontman H.P. Baxxter on the jury.

DJ Jerome is signed to Kontor Records, a label known for electronic music. With songs such as "Light", "Take My Hand" and "Lonely", he has also achieved minor chart successes. He has already produced remixes for numerous other artists. He regularly plays on the radio in his home city of Hamburg. Several of his songs have already served as anthems for the electro festivals "Nature One" and "Mayday".

Despite his current hospitalization due to the traffic accident, DJ Jerome's new single "I'll Be There" is still scheduled for release on December 8. Unfortunately, this accident has temporarily prevented him from performing live events.

In light of the music industry's support for DJ Jerome following his traffic accident, many music enthusiasts are looking forward to his potential return to the scene, especially given his success in shows like "X Factor" and his chart-topping hits with Kontor Records.
