There was great concern after legendary rapper Thomas D (55) of the Fantastic Four checked into the emergency room on Tuesday following an insect bite. In a short video, he spoke about possibly having sepsis and knowing more in an hour. However, his Instagram account suddenly went quiet until Wednesday evening. Now, there's official reassurance from his hospital bed.** He's had the worst night behind him and everything is okay now, said the visibly weakened Thomas D via Instagram. The fever has also subsided. He should be back on his feet in a few days.

However, he has to cancel his planned performance with the Hamburg jazz band The KBCS on August 15 in Jena. He also thanked everyone for their get-well wishes. He understands that he needs to check in after many fans were genuinely worried about him. Many had also called him to ask how he was doing. Now, he just wants to be left alone to sleep, he said tiredly but with a wink.

On Tuesday morning, the musician showed his fans on Instagram a large bump on his left arm in a short video. At that time, he seemed to be in good spirits and commented on his post, "Below the elbow. Something stung me yesterday. The insect should please get in touch, otherwise I'm really angry."

Sepsis after an insect bite?

A few hours later, another video from the rapper followed, this time from the emergency room of a hospital, where he told his fans that he had been waiting for three hours to see a doctor. After his wait was over, another video followed. In the clip, the musician was seen with a black brace on the affected arm and gave the following update: "Fuck me... In an hour, I'll know what I have. But probably sepsis and an animal that stung the bursa, so we have to immobilize the arm now. Wow..."

After spending a difficult night in the hospital, Thomas D shared an update on his Instagram, stating, "I've had the worst night behind me and everything is okay now." Due to his cancelled performance with The KBCS, he asked for privacy, saying, "Now, I just want to be left alone to sleep, I'm tired but with a wink."
