Diesel costs reach a 12-month minimum.
Diesel hit its lowest price of the year so far, averaging 1.669 euros per liter across Germany, just before the Whitsun holidays began. This marked a decrease of 0.7 cents from the previous week. The downward trend in diesel prices has been ongoing for over a month now, resulting in a drop of 9 cents during that period. E10 super unleaded gas also saw a drop, costing 1.822 euros per liter which was 1.5 cents less than the previous week. Since its peak in mid-April, the price of E10 super unleaded gas has fallen by 4.5 cents.
ADAC attributesthe current decrease to a decrease in the price of oil and a strengthening of the euro, but the organization expects the price to fall even further.
