Robbie Williams - Did Beyoncé flirt with him?
This relationship would have certainly made headlines: Robbie Williams (50) is said to have given Pop-Icon Beyoncé (42) a rebuff. Guy Chambers (61) revealed this in the podcast "I Never Thought It Would Happen". In conversation with Podcast-Host Chris Difford (69), the long-term songwriter for Williams, revealed that the singer had flirted with Beyoncé (then known as Destiny's Child) in 1998.
Popstars met at TV show
Apparently, they had met at the music show "Top Of The Pops". Beyoncé was at the time still part of the girl group Destiny's Child. "I remember Beyoncé," he said about the American star. "She was still incredibly young back then." The "Angels" singer was about 24 years old at the time, whereas Beyoncé was only 17 and not yet of legal age. Williams reportedly did not respond to the flirt. "He said: 'Oh, she's too young. I'm not going there'", Chambers recounted.
Already given away to someone else
Williams, known for his long career, was not exactly averse to cost-cutting. He has proudly recounted his numerous affairs throughout his career. Only recently did he reveal that he had slept with all five Spice Girls and was addicted to sex during that time.
Williams eventually found love with Ayda Field (45), whom he married in 2010. In an interview with "Hello!" Magazine, Field spoke about how the couple plan to renew their wedding vows in 2025 on the 15th anniversary of their marriage. The couple has four children together. The biopic "Better Man" about Williams is set to be released in the USA this year in December. The international release is planned for January 17, 2025, according to "Deadline".
Two years before him and his wife, Beyoncé and Jay-Z (54) gave their word to each other, and they have three children together. The singer released her eighth studio album "Cowboy Carter" in March of this year, a tribute to the history of country music.
In the year 1998, Robbie Williams had an opportunity to flirt with the emerging pop icon, Beyoncé, who was then a member of the group Destiny's Child.During their encounter at the music show "Top Of The Pops", Williams showed interest but later rejected due to Beyoncé's age.Beyoncé was only 17 at the time, whereas Williams recognized her potential, referring to her as "incredibly young" and "very talented".Despite the missed opportunity, Beyoncé went on to become a global pop icon, while Robbie Williams continued his successful music career and eventually found love with Ayda Field.
