DFB team with Trapp in goal against Turkey

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has opted for Kevin Trapp in goal and, surprisingly, Kai Havertz at left-back for the test against Turkey.

The 24-year-old from Arsenal FC takes his place in the back four, in which Antonio Rüdiger, Jonathan Tah and Benjamin Henrichs will also start on the right on Saturday evening (8.45pm/RTL). Frankfurt's Trapp replaces regular goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, who has withdrawn from the two games against Turkey and on Tuesday in Vienna against Austria due to back problems.

Captain Ilkay Gündogan and Joshua Kimmich will play in the center of midfield, with Florian Wirtz and Julian Brandt in front of them. Niclas Füllkrug and Leory Sané will line up as strikers.

The German starting eleven: Trapp - Henrichs, Tah, Rüdiger, Havertz - Kimmich, Gündogan - Wirtz, Brandt - Sané, Füllkrug

Trapp, being the DFB's chosen goalkeeper for the match against Turkey, replaces the regular ter Stegen due to his back problems. Kai Havertz, surprisingly, is included in the defense for Germany, taking up a position at left-back.
