Stewart writes that he has contracted streptococcal pharyngitis, a bacterial infection of the throat. Most people can work with this, "but not me," he explains the cancellation. The singer shares that he is "devastated" and has been looking forward to this concert for a long time. At the same time, he regrets causing any inconvenience to his fans. According to the Federal Ministry of Health, common symptoms of streptococcal pharyngitis include sore throat, swallowing difficulties, and fever. Stewart's long-standing Vegas performances have not ended in disgrace.
