For the "Women of the Year" issue of the American magazine "Glamour," the mothers of Beyoncé, NFL star and Taylor Swift companion Travis Kelce, Billie Eilish, and Selena Gomez join forces for a joint interview. The publication has selected them for its cover story as "Women of the Year" due to their collective accomplishment of "nurturing some of the world's most recognized individuals."
Not Always a Cakewalk!
Donna Kelce shares her struggles, revealing: "Being a mom might be the most challenging feat I've ever undertaken in my life. It's simpler to head to work, but caring for children who are completely reliant on you, while striving to do your best with the limited resources at your disposal, can be disheartening." She had never envisioned her sons Travis and Jason Kelce turning into NFL superstars, despite their athletic prowess. "You just never know until you receive those university acceptance letters, and then it occurs to you, 'Perhaps they have something special.'"
No Entitlement!
A memory resonates with Beyoncé's mother as well. She and her husband enrolled her daughter in dance classes since she was so shy, recounts Tina Knowles: "And she climbed onto the stage and commanded it. We looked at each other in amazement, wondering, 'Who's this girl?' The confidence was there, and I could see it. Something had shifted on that stage that I had never witnessed before."

She teaches her: "Make eye contact, say 'hello,' don't be haughty!" She believes that it's crucial to instill these values in children, "since people are constantly doing everything for them, and sometimes they end up becoming too self-centered."

Billie Eilish's mother sees this too. She talks about her daughter: "She's performing in front of 10,000 people, but that's only an hour and a half. The rest of the time, she's at home with her brother bothering her at the dinner table. It's your family that keeps you grounded."
Selena Gomez's mother fully concurs and recalls a situation where her daughter, at the start of her acting career, stepped out of her trailer the moment it started raining, with an umbrella instantly offered to her. "I told her, 'She can hold her own umbrella.' She needs to learn how to fuel her own car. She must develop into a person first."
Now, the four mothers have gained their fair share of fame and are often recognized. Even sunglasses cannot shield them, laments Donna Kelce. Yet, she seems to enjoy it. Especially since she frequently hears about her sons' admiration. "And who wouldn't want to hear that?" Something other celebrity mothers can likely relate to.
