Demi Lovato has said yes "a trillion times"
Demi Lovato was already engaged in 2020, but her marriage to Max Ehrich ultimately came to nothing. Now the singer is giving it another go and has responded to her boyfriend Jordan Lutes' proposal with a resounding "yes". And she has already immortalized herself on his skin.
Demi Lovato and rock musician Jordan Lutes want to get married. "My love, I am overjoyed to marry you. Every day I've spent with you has been like a dream come true," wrote the 31-year-old US singer in an Instagram post. She also published two photos: One shows the two of them smiling happily surrounded by rose petals and candles, while the other presumably shows their engagement rings. "I love you baby," Lovato continued.
Lutes shared the same pictures on his account and wrote: "Yesterday I asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes. I can't imagine my life without you - and thank God I don't have to now." Lovato commented on the post a few hours later with, "Yes, yes, yes, a trillion times yes! I love you so much honey!"
Work brought them together
The two met while working on Lovato's album "Holy Fvck", which was released in 2022. On the "Ladygang" podcast in September of this year, Lovato said that she felt really insecure when she first met Lutes: "I texted my friends: 'Oh my God, the hottest guy ever just walked in here. I'm so nervous! I don't know what to do with myself."
Lovato also recently revealed on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" that her boyfriend got a tattoo of one of her song lyrics while on tour and that she was even allowed to do it herself. "'Forever For Me' is a song I wrote about him. And while he was getting his tattoo, he said: 'I want you to do it'," she told her colleague in the interview. So she ended up assisting the tattoo artist: "I did a big part of it and it turned out well," she added proudly.
Incidentally, Demi Lovato was engaged once before. At the time, she promised to marry actor Max Ehrich in Malibu in July 2020. However, nothing came of it. It was announced the following September that the two had split up again in order to focus on their respective careers.
