Nicole Kidman - Daughters are her best advisors

Hollywood star Nicole Kidman (57) is a passionate family person. When she was honored at the 49th annual AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards Gala in April for her career, she brought along her husband Keith Urban (56) for the first time, as well as their two daughters Sunday Rose (15) and Faith Margaret (13). As she revealed to "People" magazine, the two teenagers are no longer just accompaniments for glamorous evening events, but apparently also serious advisors.

Kidman doesn't want "clingers-on" around

The interview was conducted next to her acting colleague Zac Efron (36), with whom she has been appearing in the romantic comedy "A Family Affair" on Netflix since June 28. In the film, Kidman plays a mother who becomes embroiled in a chaotic relationship with her daughter's former boss, who wants to win her back as a personal assistant.

Kidman didn't reveal in the interview what her own daughters thought of the film, but she did emphasize that they were "very valuable and supportive" in assessing her acting skills. "I think it's important to not have any 'clingers-on' around," Kidman said. Nevertheless, she admitted that she didn't seek out "really harsh criticism" during such family consultations.

For another star, their daughters might not have much criticism to offer. "They really love Joey," Nicole Kidman recently told "Entertainment Tonight." The person meant is Joey King (24), who also appears in "A Family Affair" with them. "That's nice, isn't it? They've grown up with Joey." King may only be 24 years old, but she's old hat in show business. As a child, she appeared in front of the camera for "Hotel Zack & Cody."

Keith Urban also attended Nicole Kidman's AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards celebration, marking the first time they both attended such an event together. Zac Efron, who stars alongside Kidman in the Netflix film "A Family Affair", was also present during the interview. Kidman mentioned that her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, provided valuable and supportive feedback on her acting skills in the film.
