Dating service prohibits Teri Hatcher from usage.
Teri Hatcher, the renowned actress from 'Desperate Housewives', had a peculiar encounter on an online dating platform. Despite her honesty in revealing her identity, others doubted her authenticity. Unfortunately, this skepticism led to her account being suspended on Hinge.
Love at first swipe was how Teri approached online dating, but she now finds digital romance disheartening, expressing that she's "pretty much given up on it."
"I was booted off Hinge," lamented the 59-year-old in an interview with 'Entertainment Tonight'. The matchmaking app suspended her because users claimed she was "faking" being Teri Hatcher, as she failed to respond to potential dates. "I didn't answer many because they'd write things like: 'Are you still real and spectacular?' I figured: 'This isn't someone I'd go out with.'"
"Maybe it was a foolish attempt", Teri mused about her digital dating adventure. "I tried to tell the universe: 'I'm open. I'm not afraid.' I did try, but I think it just isn't the right fit for me."
A Remarkable Partner
"I have friends who love me. I travel, I explore, I look after my parents, I adore my cats, I cultivate my garden, I visit the beach", she shares about her fulfilling life. "It's a life full to the brim, and I think if this person, if they ever exist, they'd have to be truly Remarkable, don't you think?"
Hatcher has come to understand that instead of chasing after someone and finding the great love online, she was "seen as someone putting in a lot of effort into a life I already loved."
Every Dating App Touched
Hinge wasn't the only dating platform Teri had tried. In January, she revealed that she attempted all of them. In an appearance on the TV show 'Getting Grilled With Curtis Stone', Hatcher mentioned how the exclusive Raya dating app was filled with "men who only wanted to date women in their 30s." "I'm definitely done with dating apps," Hatcher declared then. "If there's a chance to meet someone in person, that must be it."
Teri Hatcher was married twice. Her first marriage to trainer Markus Leithold lasted only eleven months and ended in 1989. In 1997, she married actor Jon Tenney. The couple had a daughter named Emerson. After six years, this relationship also ended in 2003 before the divorce lawyer.
