Daniela Katzenberger undergoes permanent infertility procedure at age 35
Daniela Katzenberger's family is now complete, as she and her husband Lucas Cordalis have opted for permanent birth control. In a recent interview, Katzenberger revealed that she had undergone sterilization two years ago, which was kept secret until now. The reason for this decision was a concerning medical finding during a visit to her gynecologist.
Daniela Katzenberger and Lucas Cordalis share a lovely nine-year-old daughter named Sophia, who will not be gaining any younger siblings. In an interview with "Neue Post", Katzenberger confessed, "I've been sterilized for two years now."
At 38, Katzenberger decided it was time to put an end to further family planning. Her gynecologist had discovered several cysts in her breasts, which could potentially lead to malignant growths. The doctor suggested that the hormones in the birth control pill could promote such growths, urging Katzenberger to seek an alternative form of birth control.
Katzenberger wasn't keen on intrauterine devices (IUDs) due to her history of cosmetic surgeries and the presence of foreign bodies in her body. As a result, she opted for sterilization. She also looked forward to the onset of menopause, wondering why she should endure the associated symptoms for a longer period.
Her husband, Lucas Cordalis, supported her decision, although his initial reaction was not one of excitement. "He didn't exactly leap with joy," Katzenberger admitted during a recent episode of her reality show, "Daniela Katzenberger", on Vox. She explained that she felt she had fulfilled her duty in passing on her genes and that her body, her choice.
Katzenberger has no regrets about the sterilization and revels in the "incredible relaxation" of not having to worry about contraception anymore. "There's no need for inserting, inserting, or covering anything," she said, expressing her relief and contentment.
Daniela Katzenberger openly discussed her decision to undergo sterilization on "RTL Plus," a popular German talk show, explaining the reasons behind her choice. After learning about potential breast cysts that could lead to malignant growths, Katzenberger chose sterilization over hormone-based contraceptives or intrauterine devices.
The RTL Plus interview brought attention to Daniela Katzenberger's decision to undergo permanent birth control, which was initially kept private due to the concerning medical findings.
