- Daniela Katzenberger on daughter Sophia: "My worst nightmare has come true"...
Reality Star Daniela Katzenberger is having a unique generational conflict with her daughter Sophia - the eight-year-old can't stand her mother's favorite color anymore. "My biggest nightmare has come true, Sophia hates pink," says the 37-year-old in the new episodes of the reality soap "Daniela Katzenberger," returning to Vox on September 6.
"She used to be a Princess Lillifee. Now she's Eminem. She's breaking my pink heart!" Katzenberger wonders if she went overboard with the pink: "Sometimes I think I took it too far with the pink, now it's become a hatred."
The Ludwigshafen native also talks about her newfound ambition in a Vox interview: "Something viewers might not know about me, I'm doing sports now, haha! After battling my inner couch potato for so long and having to endure magazine covers labeling me as 'fat,' I've finally managed to get into a routine."
Daniela Katzenberger: "I just like being normal too"
She lives with her husband Lucas and daughter like "a regular family," she said. "Maybe with a bit of celebrity status, haha. But we do the same things as other families. We take Sophia to school, I make sure Lucas' laundry pile is under control, and we go to our jobs. They might look a bit different from others, but I just like being normal too."
Vox launched Daniela Katzenberger's TV career. She still looks back fondly on that time: "Of course, the absolute highlight was my trip to Los Angeles when I really wanted to be in the Playboy - maybe I was there recently, but you'll have to watch the docu to find out. And of course, people talked about my tattooed eyebrows for a long time, which I can only laugh about now."
In 2015, the cult blonde switched to RTLzwei with her reality shows. With the new season, Katzenberger is now returning to her original network.
"I've always been open with Sophia, so I had to admit, 'I'm not going to lie, I did overwhelm you with the pink.'" After her daughter's change in taste, Katzenberger reflects, "I'm not going to lie, it's a tough pill to swallow, seeing Sophia reject my favorite color."
