Daniel Craig undergoes another full metamorphosis.

"The 'James Bond' character" was announced yesterday:

He has left that behind him: Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Daniel Craig undergoes another full metamorphosis.

If you think of Daniel Craig as James Bond, it's time to let go of that idea. After his last 007 mission, the British actor has been working on distancing himself from the character. In the third installment of the "Knives Out" movie series, Craig finally seems to have escaped the reputation of the eternal adventurer with a license to kill.

It's clear that Craig will not reprise his role as James Bond again at age 56. This seems to suit him just fine. In fact, his appearance at a charity event would have been unrecognizable without his Bond image. He sported a pair of glasses and a hairstyle that was far from the sharp Bond style.

Craig's character underwent a significant transformation in "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," which was filmed a year after Craig's final 007 appearance in "No Time to Die" in 2021. The movie revealed that Craig's character, Benoit Blanc, is gay.

Filming for "Knives Out 3" has started, with both Netflix and Rian Johnson announcing on social media. They also shared a black-and-white photo of Craig as private detective Benoit Blanc, sporting a different look this time around.

Now, Craig has long hair and a three-day beard, a departure from Blanc's usual short hair and clean-shaven face. Although the elegant dress style remains the same – a suit with waistcoat, hat, and tie – Craig's new appearance is quite a change from his previous looks.

"Production has officially begun," Netflix announced on Instagram. Johnson, in turn, shared on X: "And we're off! Today is the first day of shooting for the next Benoit Blanc mystery 'Wake Up Dead Man' – we'll see you on the other side."

Similar to the first two parts, "Knives Out 3" will feature certain cast members, including Daniel Craig, Josh O'Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. Johnson directed and wrote the screenplay for the film.

The plot of "Knives Out 3" is still unknown. A Netflix release before 2025 is unlikely.
