Dana Feist accuses Gigi Birofio in tears
In "Sommerhaus der Stars", their relationship still made a comparatively stable impression. But shortly after the RTL show aired, it was all over between reality TV actors Gigi Birofio and Dana Feist. Now she is severely reproaching him.
First the great love, then the "Summer House" curse, now the tears are flowing: a few days ago, this year's "Summer House" contestant Dana Feist officially ended her relationship with reality TV star Luigi "Gigi" Birofio. Drawing the line was not easy for her, the 26-year-old now tearfully explains in an RTL interview.
"My head is partly empty because I don't want to worry about dragging myself down any further. Sometimes everything comes up again," explains the 26-year-old. The reason for the love break-up was Birofio's missteps. "He was unfaithful to me and 100 percent so," the professional soldier is certain, adding: "That's why it's not easy for me to talk about it." She has proof of Birofio's infidelity, says Feist, but has kept it private - until now.
The 24-year-old cheated on her more than once during the course of their relationship, Feist claims. Shortly after their joint participation in the RTL show "Das Sommerhaus der Stars", they were on the verge of breaking up. The reason: Birofio's infidelity, which he even confessed to her. She now considers it a mistake that she forgave him at the time, says Feist: "I think it was also my personal mistake that I didn't leave straight away." The incident changed the relationship. Instead of appreciating the fact that she had forgiven him, he had become disrespectful towards her.
Just a PR strategy?
Unlike Feist, Birofio has so far held back with personal statements about the break-up. Instead, he let his management have their say in an Instagram story: "We understand that relationships are sometimes subject to considerable strain and some fail as a result," the statement reads. However, the separation was a private matter. Birofio has therefore decided against making "exclusive details or secrets public". Divulging private details a few days after the separation does not contribute to a healthy processing of the events: "Respect also means not exposing people in public."
Ultimately, Birofio's management dismissed Feist's actions as a PR strategy. For her, however, it is clear: "He is disappointed because he never thought I would open my mouth. Because I always said: 'Fine, I forgive you'."
Both Birofio and Feist became known independently of each other through their participation in various reality TV formats. When he entered the jungle camp in early 2023, their relationship was just beginning. Birofio repeatedly raved about her as his "pearl" on "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!".
Despite their public affection during their 'Sommerhaus der Stars' stint, Dana Feist's reality TV partner Gigi Birofio's loyalty towards celebrity couples seemed to falter. This triggered a series of events that eventually led to their separation, all unfolding under RTL's watchful eye.
In light of the breakup, RTL, known for its popular reality TV shows, faces criticism, with some viewers questioning if Gigi Birofio's TV persona differs significantly from his private life in celebrity relationships.
