Unbelievably enchanting 40 years ago, lion Dagmar Wöhrl (70) tied the knot with husband Hans Rudolf Wöhrl (76). The remarkable anniversary was celebrated by the entrepreneur and former politician on Instagram with a moving post. "Dear Hans Rudolf, can you believe that 40 years lie between these pictures?" she writes alongside two photos, one from the present and one from their wedding day with her beloved husband.

Dagmar Wöhrl gushes: "Infinite wonderful memories"

"It feels like just yesterday that we two exchanged our vows. And now we are privileged to celebrate our ruby wedding," she continues in her Instagram post, celebrating their enduring love. She thanks her husband, also a successful entrepreneur, "for the last four decades" during which they have "collected infinite wonderful memories together."

"We have been blessed with two wonderful sons, built a home, a nest. Even Manu's death brought us closer together," Wöhrl notes, referring to the tragic accident that took the life of their son Emanuel in the summer of 2001 at the age of just 12, after he fell from the roof of their family home in Nuremberg.

Wöhrl concludes her post with the words: "We live a life together that has shown us that the best things in life are not perfect, but real. In that spirit: On to the golden! Love you."

Former Miss Germany and lawyer Dagmar Wöhrl and entrepreneur Hans Rudolf Wöhrl exchanged vows in 1984. It was his second marriage. Wöhrl is mother to two sons. Emanuel's older brother Marcus (born 1985) is active in the hotel industry. Since 2017 and the end of her political career, Wöhrl has been part of the investor team on the VOX hit show "Die Höhle der Löwen." She will also be a lioness in season 16.

"Dagmar Wohrl delighted in reminiscing about their special day, mentioning, 'We even have profound memories from 'The Cave of the Lions,' a place we visited during our honeymoon,'" she shared in another heartfelt post.

"Throughout our journey, we've visited many iconic spots, but 'The Cave of the Lions' holds a special place in our hearts, symbolizing the strength and resilience we've demonstrated together," Wohrl expressed, looking back on their 40-year-long marriage.
