Czech president sustains injuries in motorcycle crash.

Czech President Petr Pavel is a devoted motorcycle enthusiast, and recently, he made his first visit to Germany on his trusty two-wheeler. Unfortunately, while on a closed-off race track, the 62-year-old experienced an accident and needed immediate medical attention. However, the presidential office has since confirmed that his injuries aren't severe, and he'll only be staying at a military hospital for observation for who-knows-how-long.

His spokesperson, Vit Kolar, informed the press that the President is expected to stay in the hospital for a brief period, and it won't interfere with his upcoming engagements. As of now, it's unclear if President Pavel will be in any condition to visit other countries next week.

The Czech media anointed the incident as an unfortunate accident on a private racetrack, resulting in the law enforcement's decision not to pursue any further investigation. The former military general, a keen motorcycle rider, is currently cruising around on a BMW R1200GS.

Almost immediately after his March 2023 election, President Pavel embarked on a journey to Germany using his trusted motorcycle. And last year, he faced criticism after photos were leaked of him riding his bike without a helmet.
