Cora Schumacher's mother is divulging secret bedtime routines.

This feud surrounding Ralf Schumacher's announcement of being gay has taken an unexpected turn. Now, Cora Schumacher's mother, Ingrid Brinkmann, has decided to speak up. She's backing her daughter and claims she was unaware of Ralf's homosexuality during their marriage.

At first glance, Ralf and Cora Schumacher's relationship appeared to be the epitome of a conventional heterosexual partnership. They were married from 2001 to 2015 and even had a son, David, who was born in 2001. However, during their marriage, whispers about Ralf's true sexual orientation made the rounds.

Eventually, in July, Ralf Schumacher went public with his sexual orientation and introduced his partner, Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne. Many extended their congratulations to him, but his ex-wife announced that she had been clueless about his homosexuality for all those years. She shared her feelings with "Spiegel," stating, "I feel used. My best years were taken away from me. Was he honest with me?" This led to a heated reaction from Ralf, who accused her of lying.

Family dramas rarely end peacefully, and the Schumacher-Brinkmann family is no exception. However, Cora Schumacher's mother, Ingrid Brinkmann, is now attempting to calm the situation down in an interview with "Bild" newspaper.

"Cora was unaware of Ralf's sexuality"

In the interview, Brinkmann emphasizes that her daughter had no idea about Ralf's homosexuality. Despite the ongoing rumors, she claims that Ralf had confidently denied them to her when she had asked him about it. "He sat across from me and said, 'Ingrid, I'm telling you, I'm definitely not gay. Those are just rumors'," she recalls.

To emphasize her point, Brinkmann shares a story about a former employee. The incident took place at the villa where the couple shared a bedroom. Brinkmann often visited to take care of her grandson. "One day, Ralf came down the stairs and the cook said, 'Oh, Mr. Schumacher had fun!'" Brinkmann recounts. "He obviously had slept with Cora," she concludes, seemingly sure of it.

"As long as it couldn't continue any longer..."

Brinkmann asserts that her daughter married Ralf out of love. She also adds that Ralf had confessed his love for Cora after they started dating. "Cora was very happy when she told me I was going to be a grandmother," Brinkmann says.

As their marriage started to crumble, Brinkmann says Cora had fought for Ralf "as long as it couldn't continue any longer." She takes a dig at Ralf, saying, "But a Ralf Schumacher doesn't let anyone tell him what to do." She feels sorry for Cora, who she believes doesn't deserve to be "publicly insulted and labeled a liar like this."

Despite the rumors circulating during their marriage, Cora Schumacher's mother, Ingrid Brinkmann, admitted that she was unaware of Ralf's sexuality. In an attempt to diffuse the tension, Brinkmann gave an interview where she emphasized that Cora had not known about Ralf's homosexuality, with Ralf himself denying any such inclination to her directly.

Furthermore, Brinkmann recalled an incident involving a former employee who suggested that Ralf had slept with Cora, implying Ralf's fidelity to his wife during their marriage. This incident, according to Brinkmann, occurred when she would often visit to take care of her grandson, who was the couple's only child.
