Cora Schumacher prefers to revert to her former name, Brinkman.
Following Ralf Schumacher's announcement of his sexuality, a heated exchange ensued between him and his ex-wife Cora, involving accusations of deceit and the disclosure of personal conversations. Now, Cora aims to move forward and abandon her former married surname, as she shared on RTL+.
Similarly, Amira Aly, Oliver Pocher's former partner, recently decided to revert to her birth name "Aly" during an appearance on "Schlag den Star" last Saturday night. Since Cora Schumacher's public confrontation with her ex-partner, she too appears to be considering distancing herself from her ex-husband's last name. The 47-year-old made this known on Saturday night during the show "Ich bin ein Star - Die legendäre Stunde danach".
Schumacher appeared on RTL+ after leaving the jungle as this year's participant in the regular jungle camp. Her appearance was surprising to viewers as she was introduced as Cora Brinkmann, her maiden name. It seems that Schumacher intends to return to using her birth name. When asked if she is now legally Mrs. Brinkmann, Cora Schumacher replied, "No, but I plan to apply for the jungle camp next year as Caroline Brinkmann."
"So, it seems like a new beginning for you," observed Olivia Jones, the moderator and host, to which Cora Schumacher responded, "Something like that." She expressed her desire for a fresh start in the future. She also expressed her wish to return to the jungle camp, but this time, she hopes to be "healthy, feeling good, happy, and cheerful, like Caroline used to be."
Cora Schumacher participated in "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!" on RTL in January of this year. However, she left the camp voluntarily on the third day due to health issues. She may be referring to this when she expresses her wish to participate in the camp again, this time "healthy." Schumacher did not provide a reason for her decision to revert to her maiden name Brinkmann during "Ich bin ein Star - Die legendäre Stunde danach." However, she has been engaged in a heated social media argument with her ex-husband recently.
After Schumacher initially claimed in an interview that she only discovered Ralf's relationship with Étienne through his public declaration, Ralf Schumacher shared a supposed private chat log on August 16 that seemed to suggest Cora was not telling the whole truth. In response, Cora Schumacher released her own private chat on August 24, which seemed to imply that Ralf had not been completely honest about his relationship with Étienne as early as April 2023. According to the chat, Ralf was already in a relationship with his current partner in April 2022.
During her time on RTL+, Cora Schumacher expressed her intention to participate in the jungle camp under her birth name, Caroline Brinkmann, next year. Following her departure from the jungle camp due to health issues earlier this year, Cora seems to be planning a return, hoping for a healthier and happier experience.
