Cora Schumacher is silent

Hundreds of Thousands Celebrate Ralf Schumacher's Coming-out. Cora's Silence Stands Out Even Louder.

Former US President Donald Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt. Spain won the Football European Championship. Yet, many eyes were on Ralf Schumacher, who unexpectedly came out as homosexual on Instagram before the match started. Hundreds of thousands of followers and numerous celebrities have liked and commented on the post of the ex-racer, in which he is shown arm in arm with his partner Étienne, since then. Only one remains unusually quiet - Schumacher's ex-wife Cora.

The news was not new for the 47-year-old, as relatives and friends like Carmen and Robert Geiss had known about Schumacher's secret relationship for a long time. And her refusal to make headlines in the tabloid press about her marriage with the father of her son David was not a new phenomenon, as she had demonstrated at the beginning of the year during her participation in "I'm a Star - Get me out of here!"

So Cora not only spoke openly about the fact that her famous ex-husband had offered her a stick of money after their divorce in 2015 to take back her maiden name Brinkmann. She also reported in the Australian jungle that she was "not entirely sure" whether Schumacher had married her out of love. "I was always honest with him. Rather not."

Flirtatious Hints Around the Campfire

Did Cora allude to Schumacher's homosexuality back then? "Let's just say: We respect each other's personal rights," she later said in a solo interview and added cryptically that there were "other reasons" why people got married besides love. "I can't talk about some things because I have a confidentiality agreement ... I could, but it's not worth it to me. ... My son is worth everything to me. ... It makes no sense to talk about it in public."

With his coming-out, Ralf Schumacher confirmed what had long been speculated about. Already during his marriage, which lasted from 2001 to 2009 and was divorced in 2015, there were numerous rumors about his sexuality. The couple always denied this vehemently. "If anyone can prove that Ralf is anything but gay, then I can. He's sometimes like a real playboy behind me," Cora told the "Bild" newspaper in 2007.

Cora Schumacher became known as an erotic model in the early 2000s. In recent years, she has been almost exclusively active in reality TV. She finished seventh in "Promi Big Brother" in 2018, two years later she looked for her great love with the help of her dating show "Coras House of Love" on Sat1. However, there was no happy ending with the winner Denny Heidrich; the couple separated after a few months. In January 2024, she left the RTL jungle camp after only a few days voluntarily.

Ralf Schumacher's announcement of his homosexuality sparked a wave of support and love in the entertainment world, with many celebrities expressing their admiration for his bravery. Despite this, his ex-wife Cora remains silent on the matter, choosing to respect his personal rights and honoring her confidentiality agreement.

Despite the rumors surrounding Ralf Schumacher's sexuality during his marriage, his ex-wife Cora had always stood by his side, publicly denying any accusations and maintaining a strong front.
