Marco Schreyl - Contract with RTL not extended

Marco Schreyl's (49) contract with "Punkt 6/7/8" expires at the end of the year. RTL confirmed this when asked by the news agency spot on news. The broadcaster had previously presented Jan Malte Andresen (51) as the new presenter of the morning show. The industry magazine"DWDL" was the first to report that the contract with Marco Schreyl would not be extended.

Jan Malte Andresen, who has so far mainly made a name for himself as a radio presenter, will take up his post on January 8, 2024. In addition to the newcomer, Vanessa Civiello, Simon Beeck (42), Daniel Fischer (45), Daniela Will and Annett Möller (45) will then present the magazines "Punkt 6", "Punkt 7" and "Punkt 8".

Marco Schreyl: RTL face since 2005

Marco Schreyl joined RTL in 2005. Until 2012, he hosted "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" and "Das Supertalent" at the Cologne-based broadcaster between 2007 and 2011. He returned to "DSDS" in 2022. In 2020, his talk show named after him flopped and was canceled after a short time.

In 2021, Schreyl joined RTL's early morning magazine show"Guten Morgen Deutschland", from which "Punkt 6", "Punkt 7" and "Punkt 8" emerged in 2022.
