Keith Richards celebrates his 80th birthday - Congratulations from his Stones colleagues
The immortal rock legend Keith Richards is celebrating his 80th birthday today, December 18 - and of course his bandmates from The Rolling Stones wish him a very happy birthday. First and foremost, frontman Mick Jagger (80) wished his companion all the best in a heartfelt greeting via Instagram. Accompanying a picture of the two legends wearing cool sunglasses befitting their status, Jagger wrote: "Happy birthday Keith. Love, Mick."
Ron Wood (76), the second Stones guitarist alongside Richards, also wished his colleague all the best on his Instagram profile. He posted a whole series of pictures, most of which show the two of them laughing. He commented on the photos with numerous emojis and also wished them "a happy 80th birthday".
In addition to Jagger and Wood, the operators of the Instagram page of the late Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts (1941-2021) also took the opportunity to pay tribute to Richards. Keith Richards himself doesn't just have thoughts for himself on his special day: exactly 40 years ago to the day, on December 18, 1983, his 40th birthday, he married the American model Patricia "Patti" Hansen (67). He also shared a picture of the ceremony on the Mexican beach in Cabo San Lucas on Instagram and wrote: "To Patricia. Happy 40th anniversary! I love you. Keith."
