Donald Trump isn't a fan of actor George Clooney. The 63-year-old takes it in stride and throws an unusual offer to the ex-president. Trump had publicly criticized him in the past severely.

On November 5, with less than 50 days left, Americans will decide between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democrat candidate Kamala Harris for the White House. It's evident which candidate has George Clooney's vote: The 63-year-old openly supports Harris. During his interview on the late-night talk show with Jimmy Kimmel, Clooney also criticized the former president.
However, he mainly did so because Trump had previously attacked the actor harshly in his usual confrontational style. The reason: Clooney had written a guest article for the "New York Times" in July, advocating for Joe Biden to drop his presidential run due to age - which he eventually did.
"Now this phony movie actor George Clooney, who has never managed to make even an average film, is meddling in," Trump posted on his platform Truth Social in response. Clooney had " Switch sides on dirty Joe, just like the rats they both are. What does Clooney know about anything? Clooney should abandon politics and return to television. Movies have never really been his forte!"
Clooney's proposition to Trump
When inquired by Jimmy Kimmel about Trump's outburst and potential retirement from politics, Clooney replied casually: "I'll step back if he does. That's a compromise I'm open to." The audience responded with thunderous applause.
At this point, Trump's retirement from politics remains just a wishful thinking for Clooney. Despite Trump's fiery rhetoric and poor performance in the TV debate, current polls in the US indicate a tight race with slight advantages for Harris.
The US presidential election of 2024 is rapidly approaching, with less than two months to go. In light of this, George Clooney has proposed a compromise with former president Donald Trump, stating that he will step back if Trump decides to retire from politics.
This proposition comes after Trump publicly criticized Clooney severely for advocating for Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race due to age.
