Clint Eastwood mourns his partner
Clint Eastwood and Christina Sandera were a couple for over ten years. She was over 30 years younger than him. But now Eastwood is left without her.
Clint Eastwood's long-term partner, Christina Sandera, surprisingly passed away at the age of 61. Eastwood confirmed the news in a statement, reported by "The Hollywood Reporter." Sandera and Eastwood had been together for over ten years.
"Christina was a loving and caring woman and I will miss her dearly," Eastwood's statement reads. No further details about the circumstances of Sandera's death have been released. A representative from Warner Bros. informed the magazine that no additional information would be given.
Eastwood and Sandera met in 2014 at his Mission Ranch Hotel in California, where she worked as a hostess. Sandera was 50 years old, and Eastwood was in his mid-80s. Despite the significant age difference of over 30 years, they became a couple.
They kept their relationship largely out of the public eye. In 2015, Eastwood appeared with his partner at the 87th Academy Awards. Eastwood's film "American Sniper," which he directed, was nominated multiple times that year. They made a few more public appearances together on the Red Carpet. They were not married.
Eastwood was married before to Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1984. His second marriage to Dina Eastwood lasted from 1996 to 2014. Eastwood has eight children in total: besides Scott Eastwood and sister Kathryn, he is the father of Laurie, Kimber, Kyle, Alison, Francesca, and Morgan.
