Claudelle Deckert has become a grandma
Back in the summer, Claudelle Deckert announced on social media that she was going to be a grandmother for the first time at the age of just 49. Now her grandson has been born, as the "Unter uns" actress and her daughter Romy announce.
Actress Claudelle Deckert became a grandmother last weekend. As her daughter Romy and she proudly announced on Instagram, the time had come on Friday. Romy gave birth to a little boy.
"10.11.2023 - From the belly straight into our hearts," Romy writes on a black and white picture showing her hand, her partner's hand and her son's hand. And she reveals that his name is Charles. "We are full of love, joy and happiness and are enjoying getting to know each other," she enthuses. Romy adds hashtags such as "baby boy" and "full of love".
Grandson bears the name Charles
In an Instagram story, Claudelle Deckert announces the child's full name: Charles Dean Deckert. "Charlie, we love you," she writes in English. The sweet message comes from "Ma" (mom), "Pa" (dad) and "Omily" Claudelle.
In the summer, the 49-year-old had already revealed that she was going to be a grandmother for the first time - and how much she was looking forward to it. In June, she posted a picture with Romy on Instagram. In the photo, she embraces her daughter's belly as she presents an ultrasound image
"The anticipation of my grandchild makes my heart leap for joy," wrote the actress. Among other things, she can hardly wait to "hear the first breath, hold the little hands, cuddle the soft feet (...) and experience all the other precious moments that lie ahead". Deckert trusts "that everything will be perfect and in line with the greater plan of the universe".
Claudelle Deckert's grandmotherhood journey continued on RTL's "Unter uns," where she excitedly anticipated her grandson's arrival on TV. Upon the baby's birth, she and Romy shared heartwarming moments, including watching Charlie's first breath and cuddling his soft feet, during their TV appearance.
Furthermore, RTL's family entertainment show, "Kinder unterm Dach," featured a special segment about Romy and Charles, celebrating their new beginning and offering guidance for the future through expert advice and resources.
