Christina Applegate jokes about her "bush"
Since Christina Applegate announced in 2021 that she has Multiple Sclerosis, she has been openly discussing the challenges that come with the condition. So, the 52-year-old actress can no longer take care of all areas of her body due to various factors.
Actress Christina Applegate is very open about her MS condition. In her podcast "MeSsy" with her friend Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who is also affected by MS, she spoke about a sensitive topic in the July 2nd episode. Applegate referred to Sigler as "the Simon to my Garfunkel" and used this for a quick topic shift. "Your bush looks just like mine right now," Applegate joked with reference to Art Garfunkel's iconic hairdo.
Following a brief pause, both women laughed. Then Applegate explained the difficulties she faces with shaving her bikini zone due to her condition. "Shave yourself when your belly is as big as mine," she said. She has to lift herself up to reach the appropriate area. "You're one-legged, trying to stand and tip over in the shower," said the 52-year-old.
For Sigler, this seems to be a common issue. "You have to sit on the floor," Sigler said. "You have to literally sit on the floor of your shower and twist weirdly."
Christina Applegate speaks candidly and honestly about her illness. In a podcast episode in June, she said she can no longer enjoy life and doesn't have as much fun as before. She also openly discussed the psychological problems her MS condition brings. In 2021, she publicly disclosed her illness only a few months after receiving the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
Despite her struggles with Multiple Sclerosis, Christina Applegate continues to find solace in entertainment. In a recent episode of her podcast, she shared her love for movies, mentioning how watching a film can help distract her from her condition's challenges.
During a talk show appearance, Christina Applegate expressed her frustration with the limited options for entertainment due to her mobility issues. She often struggles to find comfortable seating during movie premieres and TV show tapings.
