China deploys 45 fighter aircraft to Taiwan

China frequently intimidates the island nation with their armed forces. Just a day earlier, a rising number of fighter planes entered Taiwan's air defense perimeter. This aggressive act may tie in with a significant event across the border.

Recently, China deployed over 40 fighter planes towards the East Asian island country of Taiwan. Within the last 24 hours, 45 aircraft have been recorded nearby, as per Taiwan's Ministry of Defense in Taipei, which was stated on Wednesday morning. This marks the greatest number of planes in one day this year, surpassing the previous record of 36 planes recorded in March.

China has been continuously sending military aircraft to Taiwan almost on a daily basis. The ministry revealed that 26 fighter jets crossed the middle line in the Taiwan Strait, a body of water separating Taiwan and China, and entered Taiwan's air defense zone to the north and southwest of the island. Typically, the local military is compelled to answer these occurrences by sending out its air fleet. Additionally, the authorities noted six Chinese warships loitering around the island.

No official explanation was provided for the escalation in Chinese military aircraft. However, next Monday, Taiwan's new President, Lai, will be sworn into office. The current Vice President, who clinched the election in January for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), is now also taking control. The Chinese Communist Party views Taiwan as part of its territory and accuses the DPP of secession. China routinely displays its military might in the Taiwan Strait and has threatened an invasion.

In response to Taiwan's upcoming presidential inauguration, China has significantly increased its military presence, with 45 fighter aircraft deployed near the island nation within the last 24 hours. This escalation follows a pattern of frequent Chinese incursions into Taiwan's air defense perimeter, demonstrating China's continued assertion of its territorial claims over Taiwan, a notion the Chinese Communist Party vehemently upholds, viewing the Democratic Progressive Party as promoting secessionist sentiments.
