Charts: "Breathless through the night" at number one for the first time
Ten years after its release, Helene Fischer's hit "Atemlos durch die Nacht" has made it to number one in the German singles charts for the first time in a new version. This was announced by GfK Entertainment on Friday. The pop singer re-recorded the song together with rapper Shirin David to mark the anniversary. According to GfK Entertainment, the Schlager classic, which was released in 2013, was one of the most successful chart hits ever with 118 weeks, but has only made it to number three so far.
The next places in the singles charts are already very Christmassy: Wham! are at number two with their evergreen "Last Christmas", followed by Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (number three) and Shakin' Stevens' "Merry Christmas Everyone" (five). The best new entry is Yakary ("Sonnenbank.mp3", four).
Casper took the top spot in the album charts with "nur liebe, immer.". It is already the rapper's sixth number one album, as GfK Entertainment reported. The Rolling Stones ("Hackney Diamonds") improved from six to two. Kontra K ("Die Hoffnung klaut mir niemand") is third ahead of his rap colleague Badmómzjay ("Survival Mode", four) and the South Korean boy group Stray-Kids ("Rock-Star", five).
Helene Fischer's collaboration with Shirin David on a new version of her hit "Atemlos durch die Nacht" has not only reached number one on the German singles charts but also boosted its overall chart success, as it was previously only at number three with 118 weeks on the charts. Many people are enjoying the unique blend of pop and rap in Helene Fischer and Shirin David's chart-topping single.
In the world of music, Helene Fischer and rapper Shirin David's collaboration has made waves, causing several songs, including their hit "Breathless through the night," to sit high on various music charts, thanks in part to Shirin David's clever rapping style that represents a significant departure from the traditional Schlager genre.
