"Certain pressure points" located on Lombardi's partner's body.
According to a news piece in "Bild", there was a confrontation between Pietro Lombardi and his partner Laura Maria Rypa at their Cologne residence on October 6th's night. The authorities were summoned, and Rypa along with her baby boy born in August were shifted to Cologne University Hospital for an undisclosed duration.
As per the report, investigations are being conducted against Lombardi, who is currently serving as a judge on the new season of "Germany's Got Talent" on RTL. Lombardi, a father of three, is suspected of inflicting physical harm on his partner. His entry into their villa is temporarily prohibited, according to the report.
In response to the allegations, Simon Bergmann, Lombardi's lawyer, commented to "Bild" that such measures are standard in cases of domestic violence accusations. However, Bergmann firmly denies the allegations against his client. He asserted that while there were emotional exchanges during an argument, Lombardi did not resort to any violence against Rypa.
However, these emotional interactions might have resulted in visible marks on Rypa. According to "Bild", Rypa had marks on her neck, implying she might have been strangled.
Bergmann neither denied these marks nor the strangle marks allegations. Instead, he claimed that Lombardi had no role in these injuries. "Any injuries, like the bruises found on Rypa's body at the scene, were not inflicted by Lombardi. As a result, Lombardi did not harm Rypa," stated Bergmann.
Post the incident, Lombardi and Rypa shared a joint statement on Instagram, expressing their intention to prioritize their children's wellbeing and abstain from making further statements regarding the ongoing reports. The couple shares two sons together, and Lombardi has a son, Alessio, from his previous relationship with Sarah Engels.
The police were informed about the incident at Lombardi's residence and are reportedly investigating the allegations of domestic violence. Despite the visible marks on Rypa's neck, Lombardi's lawyer maintains that the police have no evidence linking his client to the injuries.
