Stiff person syndrome - Céline Dion's sister gives an update: Singer has "no control" over her muscles anymore

No all-clear, on the contrary. In the Canadian program "7 Jours", Céline Dion's sister Claudette told how the singer is currently doing. "She's working hard, but she has no control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she has always been disciplined," the Daily Mail quotes from the conversation. "She's always worked hard. Our mother always told her, 'You're going to do well, you're going to do right,'" the musician's sister said.

A stage comeback for the singer currently seems doubtful. "The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle," says Claudette Dion. Because her sister's case is so rare, research has not progressed that far.

In recent months, Claudette has become a mouthpiece for her famous sister. Back in August of this year, she gave an update when she spoke to "Le Journal de Montreal", from which "Page Six" quoted at the time. "We can't find a medicine that works, but it's important to have hope," Claudette said in the summer.

Visit to an ice hockey game

In November, there was a glimmer of hope for the fans. Dion appeared at an ice hockey game with her sons. "My boys and I had so much fun visiting the Canadiens de Montréal after their hockey game against the Vegas Golden Knights in Las Vegas on Monday night. They played so well, what a game!!! Thanks for meeting up with us after the game guys! It was an unforgettable experience for all of us. Have a great season!" she wrote with a photo on Instagram.

She receives support not only from her children, but also from her siblings. Céline Dion has a total of 13 siblings: Denise, Clément, Claudette, Liette, Michel, Louise, Jacques, Daniel, Ghislaine, Linda, Manon and the twins Paul and Pauline. Linda Dion has since moved to her home in Las Vegas to support the musician.
