Famous Berlin photographer Juri Reetz, 61, has passed away. According to reports in the "Bild" newspaper, citing a police spokesperson, Reetz was found stabbed to death in an apartment in the Spandau district on Monday. A suspected woman - reportedly Reetz's ex-girlfriend - was apprehended at the scene but was later released due to a possible "self-defense situation according to current investigative findings." There is currently no pressing suspicion of a crime.

As reported by "Bild," the woman claimed that Reetz had attacked her during an argument. She allegedly defended herself with a knife. Neighbors reportedly called the police due to loud noises coming from the apartment. The woman was reportedly arrested without resistance.

Several stars expressed their condolences on social media. For example, Julian F.M. Stoeckel wrote on Instagram, "Deeply shocked and saddened." Reetz had photographed him publicly for decades at his events and projects. They had last met on a Friday, and Reetz had joked with him. Under his post, numerous other stars commented. For example, moderator Inka Bause wrote, "He was a friendly, wonderful colleague."

RTL moderator Frauke Ludowig could hardly believe the news and asked, "How come? I can't believe it..." Katy Karrenbauer, Kader Loth, Natalia Avelon, Ruth Moschner, Sarah Knappik, Micaela Schäfer, Michaela Schaffrath, or Raul Richter also reacted in disbelief.
