"An up and down" - Cathy Hummels on her year of divorce
December 19 marks the first anniversary of the divorce of Cathy Hummels (35) and Mats Hummels (34). As part of her "Magic Christmas Market", a Christmas market for a good cause in Munich, the entrepreneur, influencer and presenter looked back on the past twelve months.
Cathy Hummels: "The road to divorce was the hardest"
2023 was a "difficult" year for her, reveals the 35-year-old mother of one son in an interview with "Bunte", adding: "My year has been up and down. I think it's actually like every person." At the same time, however, she is "grateful for everything" she has and is fundamentally "positive".
What is new in her life for Hummels after her divorce is being able to make important life decisions "of my own free will without any influence", as she is on her own. At the same time, however, she is relieved to a certain extent to have taken the drastic step of separating from her marriage. "To be honest, I think the path to divorce was the hardest part. Not after that, because then it's done," she sums up.
At her "Magic Christmas Market" on Tuesday evening in front of the "Teatro" variety tent in Munich, Hummels welcomed numerous celebrities to collect donations for socially disadvantaged children. The event was attended by social media star Sophia Thiel, top model Papis Loveday, bestselling author Nena Brockhaus, comedian Matze Knop and "Let's Dance" star Christian Polanc, among others.
