Cameron Diaz defends Jamie Foxx

Rumors have recently been doing the rounds that Jamie Foxx is not exactly an affable colleague on set. He is even said to have put Cameron Diaz off. She has now spoken out herself and defended Foxx. She has no idea what people are actually talking about.

Cameron Diaz jumps to the defense of her co-star Jamie Foxx. The reason: apparently rumors were circulating that the actor had been in a bad mood on the set of their joint film "Back in Action". Speculation also claimed that Diaz never wanted to make another film because of her colleague. According to US media reports, Cameron Diaz herself has now explained in Molly Sims' "Lipstick on the Rim" podcast that none of this is true.

Diaz described Foxx, with whom she had previously worked on two other films, as a "cheerleader for the whole crew", adding that "everyone loves him". The actress explained: "Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He's such a special person, he's so talented and so funny." She added: "We have so much fun with him on set and he's just a professional on every level."

Speaking about the rumors that surfaced in the days following Foxx's medical emergency on set, Cameron Diaz said, "I really hate everything that's been said about our set. It just makes you want to scream out loud like, 'What are you talking about?" The actress, who returned from a roughly ten-year hiatus for "Back in Action", was responding to rumors that Foxx had allegedly made her "give up filmmaking again". However, Diaz now called the collaboration a "great set" and explained that they had only had day-to-day production problems.

"It made me angry"

Diaz also said that Jamie Foxx was doing well again. He himself refused to respond to rumors about what happened on the set of "Back in Action". Diaz called her co-star "classy". The actress explained: "He says, 'No. Just leave her alone. We know the truth. Still, it made me really angry."

Foxx was hospitalized in April for an undisclosed medical issue. His 29-year-old daughter Corrine announced that he "had a medical complication" but was "already on the mend". The actor withdrew for several months. In December, he celebrated his return to the public eye.
