2021 - The federal government was allowed to impose exit and contact restrictions via the so-called Corona emergency brake, the Federal Constitutional Court decides. It also retroactively approves the school closures in the third wave.

2018 - US President Donald Trump, his Mexican counterpart Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sign the successor agreement to the North American free trade pact Nafta. The new USMCA agreement comes into force on July 1, 2020.
