Actors - Brosnan sees himself on a "spiritual journey"
Ex-James Bond Pierce Brosnan (70) sees something supernatural in the decades-long bond with his wife. Watching someone "grow old with you" is "a very spiritual journey", the actor, who has been married to US journalist Keely Shaye Smith for 22 years, told US broadcaster Fox News. "To see how the other person changes - whatever it may be, the hair, the waistline. But it's the love in your heart."
Together, he and his wife had experienced "many, many hardships, as families do, as we all do", Brosnan described. The actor raved about the support he has received from his wife: "She allows me to go out into the wider world and do what I do as a man, as an actor, that's what she's always done."
The Hollywood star, who plays the lead role in the new action thriller "Fast Charlie", met Smith in 1994 and married her in 2001. The couple have two sons together.
