Half a year after his divorce, Joe Manganiello (47) publicly wished his new partner Caitlin O'Connor (35) a happy birthday. "Happy Birthday," the actor wrote on Saturday on Instagram, followed by some heart emojis. His marriage to "Modern Family" star Sofía Vergara (52) officially ended in February.
Still in the honeymoon phase
"The world tour continues," the "Magic Mike" actor wrote alongside photos of his new lady. He was referring to their shared trips. In June, they traveled to Helsinki for a Metallica concert, as O'Connor revealed on Friday in a post. Their relationship is not yet a year old: The couple was first seen together in September 2023. They first appeared together at a gala three months later.
The photos from the birthday post show that O'Connor has also won over Manganiello's dog. Several pictures show them together with the Chihuahua Bubbles. In a clip, the dog licks O'Connor's face, making her laugh. Vergara left the dog with her ex-husband after the divorce.
Already living together
According to anonymous sources from "TMZ", the actor couple moved in together in February. The insider claims that their shared hometown of Pittsburgh brought them closer. Apart from their roots, their shared passion for travel is also a bonding factor.
Manganiello and Vergara mutually agreed to divorce at the beginning of the year. The actress told the Spanish newspaper "El País" that her ex-husband's desire for children was the reason for their divorce. Manganiello, however, told "Men's Journal" that it was simply "two people growing apart." His ex-wife is currently rumored to be dating orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.
